      Science and Engineering Interview

      Oct 25, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Reading, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 11 months. I interviewed at AWE (Reading, England)

      Interview

First part of the process is a basic application form, followed by numerous aptitude and psychometric tests. Then you'll have to answer some work based situational questions before you can fill in the main application form. Next stage is the assessment day. You can expect lots of group tasks along with an interview and a basic science exam relating to your chosen field. Expect the process from application to starting work to take up to 12 months, particularly for graduates. Although in most cases its around 9 months.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Science based questions based on crystallography, phase diagrams, material failure + other science fundamentals Additional questions included typical 'Tell me a time when? ...you lead a team to victory...you had a deadline ....You were challenged' etc.
