I applied for the position online and received the invitation for the interview right away. I had a first chat with the recruiter.
He was really friendly and nice. We talked about the position, my salary expectations, and the company. Then I received an email inviting me for the technical and hiring manager interview, in the same day.
The interview supposed to be from 2pm to 4pm. I only had one with the team lead. It supposed to be a code challenge, but I could not download the tool with the link they provided me. I asked if I could use my code editor, what she denied. So she started to improvise and asked me random React and JS questions. I didn’t have the interview with the hiring manager. They said that he was not available.
Then they sent me an email rejecting me for not describing concepts in depth. I was not prepared to have a conceptual interview. They said it would be a code assessment. I know that this is important to know, but if I knew I would have a conceptual interview, I would focus on it instead of practicing JS code.
