      Project Manager Interview

      Jun 24, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Birkenhead, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Survitec (Birkenhead, England) in Jun 2024

      Interview

One interview, over Teams, answering experience based questions. Fairly standard questions, but the interviewer was a little awkward and the questioning very stunted, which made the experience more challenging than it needed to be. The interviewer was very open about the company's recent cash-flow issues, and that situation's impact on staff and morale, but whilst he said he believed these issues were overcome, I was left with an unfavourable impression of the company - to the extent that I would have declined an offer had it been forthcoming. Communication was poor. No pro-active communication post interview, then the interviewer didn't reply to my follow up email a week later requesting an update, I eventually managed to get a reply by emailing their HR person two weeks post interview, but this sort of unprofessional behaviour just emphasized that this position/team wasn't right for me.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Survitec (Birkenhead, England) in Apr 2017

      Interview

They first sent me an email with a link to book the slot for an interview, so I couldn't make any questions about the role before deciding to go for an interview. After booking it, the interview happened after 2 weeks. The office is located in a bad area of Birkenhead, where I wouldn't feel safe to walk at any time. The interview was conducted by a HR manager that played the bad cop and didn't seem to understand anything about modern IT recruitment at all and the Head of Project Mgmt who seemed to be overwhelmed with work as he was the only one in his department. The interview was easy , lasted 30 min and had general interview questions. I didn't like the company and decided at that moment that I wouldn't go for a second interview, after a week I received an email saying that I wasn't approved for the second phase, so the dislike was mutual. I definitely can't see any It professional enjoying that old school environment.
