We've asked some of the engineering team why they chose to move to WASHCO and what they're enjoying about their role.
Gary Devlin - Field service engineer
I decided to join WASHCO after having a short break from the industry. After working for a few other laundry companies over the last 8 years, I had become very disillusioned with the whole industry. While others seemed to prioritise their office staff and forget about the engineers out on the road, WASHCO takes a completely different approach. Every person is treated as an individual and valued. Not everything is perfect, but what I appreciate is that they are continuously trying to improve. They seem to grasp the concept that happy employees make good employees and will always try their best to further you as an individual so that you can do your best.
Mike Murphy - Field service engineer
When I first joined Washco, I was relatively new to the commercial laundry industry. My current service manager played a key role in convincing me to stay in the industry after I had a bad experience with a different laundry company. That’s when I realised, I was joining a fantastic team. What I appreciate most now is the support network at WASCHO—it’s by far the best I’ve had in my career. Every service engineer knows how crucial support is in the field, and WASCHO truly embodies that.
Matt Edwards - Field service engineer
I joined the WASCHO Team in January 2024, after leaving another laundry company due to the lack of support, training and poor working conditions. I can honestly say from a work/home balance perspective, joining WASHCO is the best thing I’ve done. My service manager is the best manager I’ve had in my 30 years working, and WASHCO is a pleasure to work for. I’m very happy!
