From day one, you’re trusted with real responsibility rather than just admin or shadowing. You work directly with senior decision-makers, which massively builds confidence very quickly.
The training is solid and ongoing – you’re not just thrown in at the deep end. Managers are approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in your development. There’s a clear progression path and regular reviews so you always know what you’re working towards.
The commission structure is transparent and achievable, and if you’re willing to put the work in, the earning potential is very real. It’s motivating to see results so quickly. The culture is inclusive, social, and driven, without being toxic or cutthroat. Hard work is recognised and celebrated.
I’ve also really enjoyed attending conferences – it’s rewarding to see deals you’ve closed come to life and to manage relationships face to face.
Cons
It’s a sales role, so it’s not for anyone who dislikes picking up the phone or being measured against targets. The environment is fast-paced and can be intense at busy points in the conference cycle. Being office-based might not suit everyone.
