Worked here for just under a year. The reason I write this is because I do not wish for anyone else to waste their time with this highly unethical company. There is usually a reason when a company is always hiring, and with Avtrade, it's because of the diabolical working conditions. It's embarrassing to read the good reviews on here because they are so clearly written by a member of management. Do not be fooled by the plush offices. If your eyes are set on a role in MRO, make sure you're prepared to do the exact same thing, day in, day out, 9 till 5.30. Even if they tell you that 'every day is different'. This is a lie. All of this work could be automated but they opt to have a high turnover of staff instead. Interesting tidbits to whet your appetite for this cowboy outfit: The Christmas bonus was stopped after their most successful year in history. The January following this announcement, they had a record breaking month, followed by a record breaking year financially. The CEO owns a Private jet but decided that the Xmas bonus should be cut. The wages that are way below industry standard. You can happily look out the office window to see one of the directors pull into the carpark in one of his cars from his extensive exotic car collection. You can do that whilst you slave away trying to earn your laughable salary. They have bottles of Robinson's squash for staff, however these are filled up with Happy Shopper squash every 2-3 days. If you do go for an interview, ask them how many people have left in the last 12 months.Take note of how young the workforce are. Also, ask them about their "rebate scheme" they offer to customers. Please, please, please do not work for this company. You are a human being and you are worth more than this.

Everybody is micro managed to an astonishing level. There is very little freedom to do pretty much anything. Most of the staff are unhappy at being there and are basically treated as little more than a commodity. There is no HR department to which to complain and no sick pay. The directors are treated like royalty and embrace every moment of it. Managers constantly interfere in everyones business and everyone talks behind everyone else's backs. Even home life becomes a regular topic of conversation to be mocked. Managers talk about non managers in extremely derogatory terms and the opportunity for training and development is non existent. I cannot stress enough how awful this company is and frankly, they should be ashamed.
