Pros

Free hot and cold drinks. Free food, such as crumpets, fruit and cereal. People (other advisors) are nice and friendly, and they help to keep you from quitting on the spot.

Cons

Rota is awful, as it is on a flexible rotation but there is no fair variety of shifts, and you rarely get your rota 4 weeks in advance. Bonuses used to be great but because Ballys have made some bad business decisions lately, we all must now suffer the consequences. People in a Team Leader position or higher haven't got a clue how the staff are feeling or how to do the CS role, but they tell you how to do your job and bring in processes that actually make it harder. You have to be in the office too much in comparison to other jobs of this nature. You are not given the right tools or systems to actually do your job to a satisfactory level. There's barely a day that goes by where something doesn't break, or is delayed, which then causes unnecessary stress. They promote the wrong people, and it's all about favouritism. Ridiculously high turn over of advisors, meaning you are always understaffed.

Pros

Kitchen with snacks and breakfast items, drinks, regular mini social events/celebrations. Try their best to combat problem gamblers and safer gambling. Axa health care. Rotas in advance. Summer parties for the whole company. Winter separate for London/Stoke. Different departments to 'develop' if your face fits, get yourself to London haha.

Cons

Micromanagement extreme, rules for one not another. Unrealistic 'targets' that impact your stress, anxiety and mental health. Very boring conversations with gamblers at the end of the day who you wish you could just save. Hierarchy from above who do not fully understand the jobs below them. Reality sinks in about 1-2 years in that the pros are to defer you from leaving any sooner. Speaking to London colleagues the stress levels are near to none and their perks are greater than Stokes office 'because it is in London', not an equally spread company in that respect. 'I usually have my lunch at my desk, have 1.5-2 hours break out of office, I usually go a gym we get 50% off at, its a niche gym, I sometimes see celebs and my start time is flexi. I need to speak to a handful of people a day' in comparison to someone working in a very similar role in Stoke 'I will be questioned if even 60 seconds late from my 10 minutes break, I can only have hot drinks on my break not in the middle of my shift. I will be questioned if I am in the toilet for longer than a few minutes. The gym membership is the same price as the offers they have on anyway. I need to speak to about 30 people a day and that means dialling 300 people who do not want to pick up. It is draining as then I'm scrutinised on the phone calls how I said this and that. Scripted but not scripted. But hey, at least they have crumpets'
