Pros

-Flexible working: Different departments have different working requirements but working from home and from the office for part of the week has been fantastic for my and I believe others, mental health and in maintaining the work drive and passion for the sport. -Quality of products: Working as part of a range of brands from entry and utilitarian to the best in the world. -World class race team: Being directly involved as a designer in winning world championships to designing a new benchmark for a first serious bike. -Room for creativity: The range of demands in the cycling world requires an even larger range of creative approaches in the hunt for innovation to stay current. To design for WiggleCRC can mean that no two days are the same. -See your dreams made solid: The possibility of seeing your ideas develop and one day possibly see someone else out riding something that was in your head. -The staff discount: Not so much saving money, more the fact that you will be able to ride bikes you wouldn't be able to even consider if you were working elsewhere, or at least not for many years. -The range of products: due to the size of the company there are people working on everything from socks, to jet washers, to ebikes, to show stands and more. Not being pigeon holed has been of great value to myself. -A culture of riders: There is a general culture of riding bikes that is found throughout most of the company, though you do not need to ride bikes or be interested in riding bike to work here, it is something that you should be happy to be surrounded with, and if your normal conversations, news and internet browsing generally revolves around bikes then you will have several people working with you who feel the same. -Work bike rides: as part of mental health, moral etc there is a good practice of after work rides and periodic rides organised as part of your working month. -You could list small variations of pro for some time but they all come down to the main one of getting to work in the bike industry, as part of the relatively small selection of humans worldwide that shape the future of bikes and riders. Oh and there is free coffee :)

Cons

-No remote working. -Working for a vast mega group: you have to be ok being part of a large corporate enterprise, the goal of the company, is the same as all large corporate companies, to make money. I believe that as large corporation go this one has good environmental and ethical traits and a reasonably progressive European attitude towards the value of employee well being, but it is something you have to be happy to be part of a company that doesn't want to be a player in the cycling, tennis or any field it enters but 𝘵𝘩𝘦 player in every area it competes in. -The salary is not competitive with the average in the UK, but if you are in this job for the money look elsewhere, if however bikes and all things bike related are what would take the largest chunk out of the disposable part of your salary any way, then the staff discount and the ability to work in the industry can make it acceptable. -You have the backing of one of the largest cycling groups in the world and so have access to the resources and the ability to achieve things that wouldn't be possible in a small company or on your own, but your salary and being part of it is the reward, all your ideas are the companies, your success is the companies success, the world will not know you were behind your work. Not a con for most but something to bear in mind. -With a company of this size there will be people who are loving their job, and people who are hating it, I am glad to say I am one of the first but I understand not everyone will have had this experience.

Thank you for leaving us a review, we love hearing from you and are pleased to hear that you are enjoying your time with us. We believe that we are at our best when we are together but recognise that remote working brings benefits to, so we offer a balance of both, and it is great to here you are enjoying our approach to Hybrid working. All of our salaries and benefits are benchmarked to make them fair and competitive, not only with the external market but internally too. We also think that we have benefits of being a small company with entrepreneurial spirit, with the backing of a larger organisation this gives us the perks of allowing all our staff to be able to work at a fast pace, get involved with lots of projects but with security and access to other great minds and ideas! We absolutely love hearing from our staff and the things they love (and the things they don’t) so we can continue to make things better for everyone, so please reach out to the HR if you ever need anything.
