-No remote working.
-Working for a vast mega group: you have to be ok being part of a large corporate enterprise, the goal of the company, is the same as all large corporate companies, to make money. I believe that as large corporation go this one has good environmental and ethical traits and a reasonably progressive European attitude towards the value of employee well being, but it is something you have to be happy to be part of a company that doesn't want to be a player in the cycling, tennis or any field it enters but šµš©š¦ player in every area it competes in.
-The salary is not competitive with the average in the UK, but if you are in this job for the money look elsewhere, if however bikes and all things bike related are what would take the largest chunk out of the disposable part of your salary any way, then the staff discount and the ability to work in the industry can make it acceptable.
-You have the backing of one of the largest cycling groups in the world and so have access to the resources and the ability to achieve things that wouldn't be possible in a small company or on your own, but your salary and being part of it is the reward, all your ideas are the companies, your success is the companies success, the world will not know you were behind your work. Not a con for most but something to bear in mind.
-With a company of this size there will be people who are loving their job, and people who are hating it, I am glad to say I am one of the first but I understand not everyone will have had this experience.
