Pros

Cant think of any pros

Cons

Constant wage cuts and lies while management award themselves pay increases for making huge mistakes and losses. Shockingly bad equipment which Houdini couldn't make work with fewer staff now and more working days for field staff. Management are non existent and couldn't "manage" to find their way out of paper bag. Baker and SLB are light years ahead on all front. Stick to cementing Halliburton

Short-sighted, and US-centric

Pros

Interesting work, decent colleagues. Package is not bad. Lots of emphasis on health and safety.

Cons

The company has an American mentality in dealing with employees, without regard to local law and practice. The recent tumble in oil prices has revealed how short-sighted the company is, eg. laying off permanent employees and hiring contractors to "reduce headcount". Very US-centric -- there are lots of career opportunities if you happen to be based in Houston, but forget it if you are elsewhere unless you are a field engineer. Lots of American expats sent by the company to go to rest of the world, with all expenses paid for and more. The CEO asks for ideas for cost-cutting while keeping his private jet... To top it off, appalling HR department who provide no support for employees, with no regard to ethics.

Pros

Management take bribes to offer rewarding careers to junior staff members who could never get to a senior position, poor management

Cons

No understanding of Manufacturing, costs, lack of transparency, dishonest management, accept cash payments from junior staff members to offer them work favours, HR is useless to even identify the problem, overall don't waste your time working for such a place where your world class engineering is forced to hidden place because your manager accepted payment from jenior staff member in a restaurant
