Firstly, I would like to thank you for your long service over the past 10 years and your positive comments about what it is like to work at Iress. We recognise the past couple of years have been a challenging time for Iress but the strong performance and growth we are currently seeing is validation of the changes made. We now have a clear and focused long term strategy that we are all behind, and our collective effort and commitment will continue to drive us forward to success. Importantly, tech modernisation is central to this strategy.

Pros

Working in an informed, conscientious and supportive team. Opportunities to work across business areas and support global initiatives. Positive attempts to engage employees formally and socially including volunteering and fundraising opportunities under the Iress Impact programme. Flexibility and benefits are positive.

Cons

Being a software business some conversations can be hard for a non-techy to deconstruct; you have to be ready to challenge jargon etc. Call timings can be challenging when working with busy colleagues based in other regions.

Thank you for listing many of the things that are core to our culture and which make Iress a great place to work. As a tech business, there will always be some detailed conversations that may be hard to unravel but your point is a good reminder. The global nature of our business also requires some calls out of hours but these should be limited and the flexibility on offer should help you achieve the right balance. If you do find it is becoming an issue for you, please speak to your leader. And you can be assured that our customers and our people will always be at the centre of everything we do!

Pros

I've been with Iress since 2019, and honestly, I've loved every minute of it. The company truly values its employees, and it shows in the fantastic benefits and career progression opportunities. One of the standout perks for me has been the eight additional long weekend days. This is a game changer for work-life balance, especially when it comes to spending quality time with my family. It really makes a difference and shows that Iress understands the importance of personal well being. The opportunities for growth within Iress are genuinely great. I recently had the incredible experience of being promoted into a new position, which was a significant step in my career. What made this even better was the full support I received from my previous line manager. This kind of internal mobility and managerial backing speaks volumes about the supportive culture here.

It’s fantastic to read that you have loved every minute of your six years with Iress! Work-life balance and career growth/progression are two of the most important elements of what we offer to all people, and it’s great to see the value you are getting from these. Thank you.
