Pros

It is a very busy and intense job at times but coming into work each day for me is it also has a very relaxed no pressured feel, I truly feel the values of trust and integrity from the start, I find the culture and work life balance is also second to none here at MBDA it is most definitely the best job I have ever worked at for many reasons but this being a key one. Everyone from team members, team leaders to line management are very supportive and are always around to help and ensure your voice is heard and any issues you may have are dealt with. There are also so many opportunities to be had if you put your mind to it and commit yourself to the job which is fantastic for job prospects and future growth and development.

Cons

I honestly cannot find a con to MBDA during my short time so far being here I really cannot fault it as a company to work for.

Pros

Fantastic people and strong teamwork culture - colleagues are collaborative, supportive, and genuinely committed to delivering high-quality outcomes, but more importantly helping new starters. Real sense of purpose - often a cliché in most companies, but the work here is directly connected to real-world events and national security (just look at the news!), which gives daily tasks genuine meaning. Cross-functional exposure - i.e. working with engineering, systems, manufacturing, and operations teams creates a rich environment for learning and growth. Stable organisation with long term vision - the projects are complex, substantial and offer strong development opportunities for PMs who want to stretch themselves.

Cons

Onboarding can be slow - due to security requirements and size of the organisation, it takes time to get fully embedded and productive. Organisational dynamics take time to understand - navigating functions, understanding legacy decisions and governance structures can be challenging for new starters. Processes can feel heavy/complex - documentation and approvals are thorough but sometimes difficult to interpret without prior experience.

Pros

Flexible working hours and the ability to work from home. Great company culture with genuinely supportive and friendly colleagues. Excellent on-site facilities, including subsidised coffee, snacks, and food throughout the day. Teams are trusted to take ownership of their work, with the autonomy to make improvements and drive positive change. Collaborative environment where people are willing to help each other succeed.

Cons

Some processes can be quite traditional, and there can be some resistance to adopting new ways of working. Knowledge can sometimes sit with a small number of individuals, creating single points of failure when key people are absent. Opportunities to standardise and document processes could be improved to increase resilience and efficiency.
