Pros

Good pay and bonus this year but doesn’t make the current climate bearable

Cons

The leaders continue to make poor short term, short sighted decisions. Laying off tremendous talent and shifting work to those left who are demotivated, demoralised, beyond exhausted and tired. The ELT provide no vision for the future. It feels like they are squeezing the life and soul out of everything and everyone. No matter what role, or level, I don’t know anyone who feels valued or happy right now. It’s so sad. The words don’t match the actions in terms of culture and values. The ELT seem unaware of what’s going on. It breaks my heart to work hard along some incredible talented people and for everyone to feel so unvalued.

Pros

Great benefits and pay, in theory (or in pockets) favours innovative projects and has the resources to see them through. Excellent internal systems, possibilities for employees to change roles internally

Cons

Awful politics, internal infighting, big egos, in short, the definition of dinosaur Pharma who constantly restructures so that it never changes. Employees who never leave and whose main skill is Pfizer experience and risk management (this means that they make sure that innovative projects do not easily take off).

Pros

They give money regularly to the people who spend some time in between their walls, if you are from a "visible minority" there is a good chance that you will receive some promotion and get protected whatever you do. If you are a woman and get pregnant, then you can get truly great benefits. If you are fired then you will get a great redundancy package.

Cons

It is a heavily bureaucratic mammoth. There is no creativity since the management decided to fire the people with it. Therefore the only trend is idea stealing: other patents are studied hard to try to make something but with very little success. There are several malfunctions all around the place from the top management who requires its employees to communicate with them while you have to beg to get the information the other way around. Several important projects are only thought half way and result in great loss of money and time, the business rules applies only to those outside of the US while the US colleagues act like cowboys and are free to do whatever they want with no supervision. We are told to save money but everything is made to waste it !
