Pros

The school truly values its employees, offering a solid benefits package including private healthcare, a cycle-to-work scheme, and various retail vouchers that help with the cost of living. Beyond the perks, there is a clear focus on career progression, with management actively encouraging staff to take on specialised training and leadership responsibilities. While the daily work is high-energy and demanding, the investment in staff development and the comprehensive benefits make it a supportive environment for long-term growth in the SEN sector.

Cons

Can be hard to progress in some areas

Pros

Phoenix is an organisation that really has the people we support at its heart. Phoenix values team members and the organisation's HEART values are not just words; it's how people act. They also invest in high quality induction and training for all staff. Senior managers know the jobs ask a lot and they have your back. Phoenix has a neurodivergence affirming culture. They genuinely care about your mental health and work life balance. If you like their values I would recommend them as an employer.

Cons

Not much. The sickness policy could be more generous and compassionate.

Pros

Friendly staff, love working with the people we support, can be fun when you take adults out on activities and see the difference good support can make to someones life

Cons

management can be hard to reach and not very present in the people you support's life as well as staff. long hours as to be expected in care. not much time to have a break on your own - expected to eat with people you support
