Pros

Great tech stack. Incredible variety of work. Really interesting problems to solve. Management are always looking to improve, and we get plenty of time to spend on things like reducing technical debt. Lots of autonomy for developers. Veg competitive pay for outside of London. Also a truly exceptionally talented team that the dev managers are very good at protecting. Free fruit. Private health insurance. Nk expectations to work more than 9-5:30. Business is very approachable. Overall a great place to work.

Cons

Pension contributions could be a little more generous. Could be more generous with things like pluralsight subscriptions or allowances to attend conferences.

No guidance for graduates.

Pros

OK salary for graduates. Table tennis to take your eyes off the computer for few minutes. The setup is nice, two monitors abd a computer that rarely chokes.

Cons

No guidance for graduates. None. There is no one who will be your 'mentor' or 'go-to' person. You will be almost stranded and going to ping ponging from one person to another, obviously this is hard to do as your first job post-uni and everyone seemed a bit busy so you don't really wanna bother them. There is no real tasks defined for you, you'll mostly have to search for tasks to do. No proper tasks that make you work on c# for a week and then do a little bit of JS for example, the tasks you'll find (you have to find yourself) are different everyday, for example change the dic position slightly using CSS one day in a project that is project led by someone in another team and the next task will be something to do with SQL for example in a separate project than the one you were working one in the previous task. Complete mess. Other cons, the work done here doesn't have a positive impact on people's lives. I wouldn't advise anyone to start there. If you're a non-junior dev, your experience might be better. Formal dressing even for devs, even most devs don't meet anyone outside the company, I don't really understand the reasoning behind this. The dev team doesn't feel like a team, feels like separate individuals working together with no real spirit among the team. I think a lot of the people there are quite arrogant. No perks like lunch or gym. The company is quite profitable and can afford such perks with no sweat.

Pros

Enjoyable working environment with understandable work/life balance, if you work hard and do well you will be remunerated well. Strong balance sheet and private ownership means the company can evolve as it wants and not based on shareholder requirements. Sports desk and Financial desk gives strong diversity to the business. Good benefits and Pension scheme.

Cons

There are some cons but they are being actively addressed.
