At Unum, we’ve created a workplace where people feel supported to progress and grow, and can see their ambitions coming to life. From charity and volunteer opportunities to career growth, your possibilities are endless.
At Unum, our Customer Services, Claims, and Vocational Rehabilitation teams play a vital role in supporting people through some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether it’s helping an employer understand a policy, guiding an employee through a claim, or supporting someone back into work after illness or injury — our colleagues make a genuine difference every single day.
What We Do
Claims & Case Management
Our Claims Handlers and Coordinators are the compassionate front line of our business. They combine analytical thinking with empathy to guide customers through the claims journey — ensuring decisions are fair, timely, and clearly communicated.
Our teams support a wide range of claims across Group Income Protection, Group Life, Group Critical Illness, Sick Pay Insurance, and Individual Income Protection, helping people navigate what can often be challenging moments. It’s work that truly matters, helping individuals and families feel supported when they need it most.
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)
Our VR Consultants bring clinical expertise and coaching skills to support employees returning to work after illness or injury. Working closely with employers, healthcare professionals, and claimants, they create tailored plans that focus on wellbeing, recovery, and realistic return‑to‑work goals.
It’s a role where you see the difference you make — often in life‑changing ways.
Customer Services
Our Customer Service teams are problem‑solvers, communicators, and trusted partners to employers and brokers. They help customers navigate their benefits, understand their policies, and access the support they need quickly and easily. Whether answering complex policy questions or resolving issues with care and accuracy, our Customer Service colleagues play a vital role in delivering a positive, personal, and reliable experience that reflects Unum UK’s commitment to doing the right thing.
