Fast Track Outdoor Tutor Programme - Starting January 2024! Looking for an alternative to university? Interested in the great outdoors? Ready to kick start a career in the outdoor industry? We have just the course for you! At Conway Centres, Anglesey, we are offering an intensive 12-week Fast Track Outdoor Tutor programme to train towards 14 recognised National Governing Body qualifications in the Outdoor Education industry, with the prospect of assessment at the end of the programme. Starting in January 2024, this programme will give you the opportunity to work with real groups at the centre, be taught by leaders in the outdoor education field and receive up to 14 qualifications, which includes: British Canoeing: Paddlesport Leader Training or Paddlesport Instructor, Canoe Award, Sea Kayaking Award, Paddlesport Safety & Rescue Training and Costal Navigation & Tidal Planning RYA: VHF License and Powerboat Level 2 Mountain Training: National Navigation Award Scheme, Mountain Skills, Rock Skills and Rock Climbing Instructor Training or Climbing Wall Instructor Training Plus: DofE Expedition Supervisor, Level 3 Outdoor First Aid and Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding
Chester Contemporary Schools Programme is running from September 22nd to December 1st 2023 Chester’s thriving art scene is about to be infused with a new wave of creativity, as Chester Contemporary prepares to unveil a spectacular exhibition showcasing the talents of international and local contemporary artists. This ground-breaking visual arts event, spearheaded by visionary Chester-born artist Ryan Gander, promises to be a celebration of creativity, innovation, and community engagement. The Schools Programme, a collaborative initiative in collaboration with Edsential that has brought together eight talented artists and primary schools from across the city, is one of the highlights of Chester Contemporary. They collaborated to create a series of captivating artworks inspired by Chester Rows’ rich heritage, a project made possible by funding from Historic England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Conway Centres wins Best Residential Experience at School Travel Awards. On 6th June 2023, members of Edsential's Conway Centres team made their way to London for the awards ceremony where they were presented with the Best Residential Experience award. Edsential’s Conway Centres welcomes more than 20,000 children and young people every year for an adventure-filled residential at the four centres across Cheshire and North Wales. Maria McQuillan, Head of Guest Experience at Conway Centres, said: “The awards were an excellent opportunity for us all to celebrate and recognise the people, schools, and businesses that make up the school travel industry. We are so pleased to win The Best Residential Experience at this year’s awards. A huge thank you to our schools who nominated us as well as our staff who provide the best residential experience.” The School Travel Awards is a yearly event that recognises and celebrates the school travel industry and the many benefits that school trips have on children and young people.
