Developers need to be able to provide hyperfast and reliable broadband to their residents, now more so than ever. This is something we pride ourselves on particularly in the current climate. Greg Allsop, Sales Director for Bellway Homes, says: “It's been a huge relief that Hyperoptic have continued to support our developments with Day One Connectivity and the ability for residents to be able to connect to 1Gig broadband the moment they walk in to their new homes. And as nearly everybody needs the ability to be able to work from home... through collaborative working with Hyperoptic we have been able to achieve this provide this to our residents at Little Acres.
Helping the UK #StayConnected during this time is really important to us, despite working against constraints being thrown at us all. This story from one of our customers made us smile, so we wanted to share: Just emailing you to let you know the engineer has come today and connected the internet, so it's all running smoothly now, I cannot thank you enough for your help and getting back to me so quickly and contacting the engineer yourself, it helped so much as my daughter practically lives on Netflix. I know at times like these this problem seems irrelevant, but I have hurt my arm and have been in pain lately and not been able to lay down to sleep so being able to use the internet at silly times is what makes the night less painful, so you have literally saved my life and I thank you a thousand for it.
At a time when most of the country has moved to working from home, we’ve been looking into the impact on our network and traffic. Join our webinar on 14th May at 3pm to find out what really happens to a full fibre network during COVID-19!
Last week we had the pleasure of installing broadband into Dr Sinha’s home. We were able to get him up and running with hyperfast speeds despite our overstretched engineering team right now. And because a little thanks goes a long way, we thought we’d share it. I would like to say a big thank you to you and your team. The service I received has surpassed all my dealings with the different providers I have been locked into. You have gone above and beyond and your colleague as gone below and betwixt – literally" Thanks everyone for keeping those at the frontline connected. #StayConnected
When it comes to day one connectivity, we had a 99% success rate in 2019, and COVID-19 is not putting a stop to that for us. We're proud to have delivered on our promise yet again at Eastman Village, a partnership between Barratt Developments plc and The Hyde Group. Construction Manager, Sandy Pahl, has said: The importance of Day One Connectivity has never been more important than now with virtually everybody needing the ability to work from home as the nation battles the Covid-19 virus. At Eastman Village, Hyperoptic have again delivered for us, ensuring that all residents have been connected on moving in day at a time when other telecoms providers serving the development have not yet delivered live service to site.
As we all adapt to living a little more virtually, it's great to see so many of us maintaining a work-life balance and continuing our hobbies in a virtual world - which is why we're helping people to #StayConnected.
Part of being an industry leader is always ensuring we stay one step ahead, which is why we're welcoming the government legislation that new homes will have gigabit broadband as standard. Read our response here:
We are switching from in-person interviews to video for the time being, but we are still actively hiring and will be conducting video interviews for the following roles: We look forward to hearing from you!
Making sure our customers are able to #StayConnected during this global crisis is our number one priority. So, if you see any of our key workers out and about, please give them a smile (from 2m away)!
Making the move to a full fibre connection changed how Systems IT did business. From a rise in productivity to delivering their cloud-based products to customers much faster, their move to Hyperoptic was a game changer.
