At Sytner Group we are proud to continue our support for various charitable causes, we’re passionate about giving back to our communities. Earlier this month our colleagues in Mercedes-Benz of Weston-super-Mare got involved with Weston Hospicecare’s Pines for Pounds charity Christmas tree collection raising an incredible £11,000! The initiative provides the public with collection of their Christmas trees in exchange for a donation. As an official business partner with Weston Hospicecare this is one of many initiatives we get involved with and offer our support in many other ways. At the beginning of January, our colleagues travelled around the surrounding areas collecting Christmas trees from members of the public, saving them a trip to the recycling centre whilst of course raising funds for such an important charity to the local community. We’re thrilled to support Weston Hospicecare and help them to continue the support and palliative care that they provide to people with life-limiting illnesses in Weston-super-Mare and northern Somerset completely free of charge. A service they’ve been offering for over 30 years. At Sytner Group our commitment to our ‘One Team’ culture goes beyond fulfilling daily responsibilities. We actively promote our businesses to engage and get involved in the local communities and arrange our own charity fundraising commitments. At Sytner Group we are committed to Developing Talent and Building Careers. With this in mind we think it’s really important that we support Future Talent into the work place! Today we hosted a number of students for a World of Work tour at our Leicester Audi dealership! The students met with our Head of Business who talked them through is own journey from Apprentice to Head of Business, the endless opportunities available and the skills they need to kickstart a career with Sytner Group! This was followed by a tour of our facilities and the opportunity to sit in a number of fantastic cars! The aim of our World of Work tours is to show students the opportunities available to them in the industry and that regardless of your skillset there is something for everyone in a dealership environment. We partner with the local charity, Leicestershire Cares Ltd to make these tours happen and support as many students as possible into getting a glimpse of what working at Sytner is like! We’ve hosted a number of World of Work tours throughout the years and they provide invaluable insight into how the business operates, this is a great introduction into the automotive industry for students and off the back of these tours we tend to get a number of work experience requests! It’s great to see students engage with the business and consider a career they didn’t know much about before stepping through our doors! I think it was safe to say the students today, most enjoyed seeing the cars a
