Therefore, it is important to us that we also celebrate and support our colleagues in their efforts in doing so. At Sytner Group we're passionate about supporting our local communities and charities and getting behind our colleagues who choose to raise money for great causes. Last weekend our colleagues Lesley Birch and Sue Sansome took part in the ‘Shine Night 10k Walk’ in Leicester in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a cause close to Lesley’s heart. Lesley was diagnosed in 2022 with breast cancer and took on the walk almost a year to the day of beginning her treatment. With the fantastic news that Lesley now has the all clear, Lesley and Sue set out to raise £500 through their JustGiving page and have to date raised a huge £1,600! Lesley said “The atmosphere was electric and we really enjoyed it. On behalf of Sue and I we would like to say a very BIG THANK YOU for your kind donations towards our amazing total, what a fantastic achievement!” Although our colleagues took part in the ‘Shine Night 10k Walk’ one of the many great things about working for Sytner Group is that we give all colleagues an extra paid working day per year to be involved in voluntary work and support our colleagues with causes close to their hearts.

Sytner Group celebrates 15th anniversary of Leicester Pride The day saw over 90 colleagues march in the vibrant parade across the city centre in a sea of colour. We were also raising money for local charity, Trade, on the day. Trade is a Leicester charity and has been working in the community since the later 1980s and works to support the health needs of the wider LGBTQ+ community. All colleagues working on the stand and marching with us fully embraced the atmosphere, wearing fancy dress, singing along to the brilliant live acts and, of course, plenty of fun and laughter. Sytner Group have a range of different initiatives for colleagues to feel seen and heard at work including network groups, where our colleagues can get together and discuss important issues and ideas in the workplace. We are proud to develop colleagues’ understanding and environments so that all members of the team can thrive and contribute their best selves to work.
