On Tuesday 25th April, Sytner Group was able to showcase their partnership with the Menopause Mandate at the Houses of Parliament, Westminster. Eliminating taboos surrounding menopause and women’s health is a vital part of creating more inclusive spaces where people feel better supported. That’s why the Menopause Mandate’s work of the drive towards providing education for all and affordable, accessible treatment options like HRT, is so important. Since its formation just over 12 months ago, the Menopause Mandate has accomplished so much, including the launch of the HRT Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) meaning women can receive a year's supply of HRT for the price of just two prescriptions (£19.30). Despite the progress made, there’s still so much more to do, and I’m personally thrilled that I was able to represent my company in celebrating the efforts of incredible advocates from all walks of life. Last year, Sytner Group became the sole UK Automotive Retailer to sponsor and support MM and we have worked tirelessly on improving our guidance policies and implementing train
Happy New Year! At the end of last year we scooped two prestigious awards and one “Highly Commended” accolade at the annual Car Dealer Awards ceremony. The first award being for Diversity and Inclusion, Group Head of D&I, Jodie Williams said: “2022 has been a terrific year for us in terms of diversity and inclusion, and it’s great that we’ve been recognised by the industry for our efforts so far. We all have a lot of work to do to create cultural change in our industry, but I’m so proud that, as a business, we’re fully committed to supporting and driving this change. We’re determined to create an environment where differences are acknowledged and celebrated, and a place where everyone feels like they are seen and that they belong.”
Sytner Jaguar Land Rover Northampton hosted a fantastic Black History Month event - all thanks to Dyane Compass and the team for organising and hosting such a wonderful and powerful colleague celebration. Food, music, fun and talent united colleagues from many areas of Sytner Group and from many different backgrounds. You could feel the love and support, with people hungry to embrace and learn more about Black history and culture. To get to a better tomorrow, we need to learn about the past. It’s important that we acknowledge and learn from it, to enable us to improve the future - we need action, not words. We need to come together around a shared common goal to achieve a better world for everyone.
Another fantastic year at Leicester Pride where we celebrated and stood with the LGBTQ+ community showing our support and spreading love and happiness! This month, Sytner colleagues proudly walked the Leicester Pride parade along with our long-term partner, Shell lubricants. Shell has a longstanding relationship with the Sytner Group and the value that Shell places on diversity and inclusion in the workplace is aligned with Sytner Group, therefore this is a natural step in the right direction for both businesses. Events like Pride bring communities together and allow everyone to be their best selves, sharing stories and experiences - a wonderful and touching experience to be a part of.
Sytner Group charity committee hosted a fundraising day on Wednesday 27th July for Leicestershire Cares at its Head Office and raised £940 for the local charity! 👏 As a fun afternoon the committee organised a barbeque that catered for all with meat, vegetarian, vegan and halal options available along with a variety of garden games, music and of course lots of laughter. Sytner Group has been partnered with Leicestershire Cares for many years and supports a number of projects to support the local community. This fundraising will go towards the Community Development Team’s ‘new beginnings’ project putting the charity’s power to change model into action by delivering a lasting positive impact in the lives of young people. Neetu Squire, Leicestershire Cares, said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at Sytner Group for organising Sytnerfest. Leicestershire Cares is really grateful for the money raised, it will make such a difference. It was brilliant to be able to attend the event, we all had a fantastic time and can’t thank Sytner Group enough for all their ongoing support.
