We’re proud to announce the ninth annual Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards, honoring the Best Places to Work in 2017 across North America and parts of Europe.  Among winning employers on the 2017 50 Best Places to Work (U.S.) list, Bain & Company takes the top spot. Bain & Company is the first company to rank No. 1 three times (2017, 2014 and 2012), and is among only three employers that have made this list for nine consecutive years. This year, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards feature six distinct categories, honoring the Best Places to Work across the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany. There are two categories in the US: 50 Best Places to Work (honouring employers with 1,000 or more employees) and 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For (honouring employers with less than 1,000 employees). Winners are ranked based on their overall rating achieved during the past year. (Ratings are based on a 5-point scale: 1.0=very dissatisfied, 3.0=OK, 5.0=very satisfied): The top five Best Places to Work in 2017 are:
  1. Bain & Company (4.6 rating)
  2. Facebook (4.5 rating)
  3. Boston Consulting Group (4.4 rating)
  4. Google (4.4 rating)
  5. World Wide Technology (4.4 rating)

When providing a company review, employees are asked to give their opinion on some of the best reasons to work for their employer (pros), any downsides (cons) and are encouraged to provide advice to management. Employees are also asked to rate how satisfied they are with their employer overall, rate their CEO, as well as rate five key workplace attributes, including giving their opinion on career opportunities, compensation & benefits, culture & values, senior management and work-life balance. In addition, employees are asked whether they would recommend their employer to a friend and whether they believe their employer’s business will perform better, worse or remain the same in the next six months. Reclaiming the #1 spot it held in 2014, Bain & Company’s employees share what it’s like to work for the winning company:

Do you love your job and think your company is a Best Place to Work? Share a review. Reviews submitted during the next 12 months will be considered for Glassdoor’s 2018 Employees’ Choice Awards.
