Employee feedback shapes an organization and is what candidates are in search of when considering one company over another. The more representative the information is of the candidate’s potential role, the more valuable the information becomes. Full-time employees and contractors, for example, typically have very different experiences and the feedback left by a full-time employee may not be representative of what a contractor could expect at the same company. As of this week, company reviews on employer profiles on Glassdoor will now default to reviews left by full-time and part-time employees, while reviews from temporary and contracted workers can be easily found by changing a filter on an employer’s reviews page.

There are two key benefits for this new feature: first, job seekers get a clearer picture of what to expect whether they are looking for a full-time job or a temporary position. Second, employers have clearer insight into sentiment among various types of employees within the organization. With the growth of the shared economy business model and expanding contingent workforce, Glassdoor believes in providing an architecture that easily displays the different experiences of full-time and part-time vs. contractors, temporary workers and interns. This new display format gives the right information to the right candidates, furthering our mission of helping people everywhere find a job and company they love. Tell us your thoughts on this feature and what else would make Glassdoor more valuable to you.
