Welcome to the new Glassdoor.

Today, Glassdoor becomes a home for workplace conversations. Along with the company reviews, ratings, and salaries Glassdoor is already known for, we’re incorporating real talk in real time into our experience.
Now people can get answers to questions from professionals like them, network with the C-suite, and share personal advice — anonymously — for free, without leaving the app. They can connect across top industries, within over 30 thousand companies, and through thousands of unique communities. Job seekers, employees, and employers are using Glassdoor to discuss what matters to them at the intersection of work and life.
A new brand identity, developed with agency partner Koto, celebrates this change. From streamlined product experiences to a bold new logo, every Glassdoor interaction is now infused with lively conversations.
Your work people are here
Growing a career is serious business, but it shouldn’t be lonely or dull. That’s why our identity system emphasizes the connections we make with one another throughout our careers — connections that bring life to our work. Communities on Glassdoor are represented with a vibrant color palette, playful illustrations and animations, and a frank, encouraging tone of voice.
The newly re-imagined Glassdoor app lets you toggle between insights and conversations instantly. Dial up your anonymity on one thread, use your job title in another, or reveal your full identity when it suits you. You can show up authentically and say what you feel in a safe, supportive space without any pressure to self-promote or perform.
Brand principles and tone
Four core ideas underlie every expression of the new brand. Depending on the situation, platform, or audience, we lean more or less into each. Guided by these principles, Glassdoor delivers a livelier tone of voice — one that’s more conversational, more playful, and more self-assured — with real talk about topics from equal pay to workplace diversity to life beyond work. Glassdoor is here to help people get ahead, with empathy, expertise, and a healthy dose of humor.

Logo and app icon
The new logo literally places Glassdoor at the center of workplace conversations. The ‘gd’ quote marks flanking the wordmark accordion in and out to reveal dialogue and insights. Inspired by the company DNA, the door-shaped letter forms swing open when animated, conveying welcome and confidence. Used on their own, the quote marks form the Glassdoor app icon.
Illustration
Our new illustrations (pioneered by Josep Puy) bring levity and humanity to every interaction. Featuring a broad cast of characters in a lighthearted line art style, they serve up unexpected moments and capture a wide range of emotions at the intersection of work and life. Building on Puy’s designs, our own Glassdoor brand team is developing a house style that will continue to capture themes of community, connection, and anonymity.

Color palette
A new vibrant, accessible color palette captures the diversity of the communities on Glassdoor. Green is still fundamental to the new system, used strategically for the key call-to-action buttons. On the Glassdoor app and site, the primary brand palette of white, black, gray, and green aids users in finding their way quickly. For high-impact brand moments such as campaigns and social content, we lean more heavily into the secondary palette.
Font
Glassdoor Sans (by Giulia Boggio at Type01) is a charming geometric typeface with character quirks that reflect Glassdoor’s professional yet personable identity. The new brand system makes type the hero— revealing insights, data, and conversations between employees and employers truthfully and attentively. The supporting Inter and system fonts allows fast loading, while (squibs) provide bits of advice and humor to layouts.

Motion
Motion plays a central role in new Glassdoor experiences. Animated illustrations, delightful reaction icons, and data visualizations with innate simplicity make interacting with our products simply more fun. As users navigate the app, charts and graphs will seemingly appear for their benefit, while conversations will be just a cursor’s blink away.

Photography
Our photography anchors in community and anonymity, capturing authentic human connection Our photography anchors in community and anonymity, capturing authentic human connection in unscripted moments. We use natural light to capture work in a warm and optimistic tone. As the system develops further, look out for the Glassdoor style to bring together the worlds of photography and illustration into a single visual system.

Product

Our new user flow combines the very best elements of our new brand to welcome, orient and inspire new community members to explore and engage in the conversation. And once new users are onboarded, our new brand identity shows up in unexpected ways designed to surprise and delight them.

We’re proud to share this full-brand transformation, a year-long process grounded in business opportunity, user insights, and strategic storytelling. We’ve evolved from being a destination primarily for active job seekers to an always-on resource where people at every stage of their career journey can connect and get ahead together. And it all starts with a conversation.
