I feel really disappointed by the interview process with AS Watson. I had a positive phone interview with their people team, and the hiring manager even expressed interest in moving me to the next stage. However, after that, I was left waiting in silence for two weeks with no updates, despite following up politely several times.
Eventually, I only received a generic rejection email with no explanation, after investing so much time and energy into the process. When I questioned the decision, the manager admitted there had been poor internal communication and promised I would get clarity, but now it’s been over a month since I first applied, and I’ve still received no proper follow-up.
Honestly, I’m really confused about what went wrong in this whole process. There was no clear communication, just a generic rejection email, and that really doesn’t seem like the way a company like yours would handle things with candidates.
For a company of this size and reputation, this is not how candidates should be treated. A lack of basic transparency, respect, and timely feedback reflects badly on their recruitment culture.
It makes me seriously wonder what kind of candidate they truly wanted, and what the actual purpose of this recruitment process was.
I hope they improve the way they communicate with applicants in the future, no one deserves to be left guessing after putting in the effort to engage with them.
