Interview
An assessment was conducted to judge technical skills, particularly SQL and Statistics related questions.
Second was screening round with HR that had some basic HR related questions.
Third was technical interview, around the previous experience and how is it applicable at Agoda and the Job description, also required some critical thinking.
Third was a take home assessment - a case study to analyze data and provide recommendations.

I was contacted by a recruiter over LinkedIn and the recruiter was very cordial and he mentioned I am fit for the role so I gave it a try
Interview Process:

- Three Exams: 1) Verbal Reasoning 2) Numerical Reasoning 3) Personality Test
- HM Interview
- Regional Interviews (possible fly to Thailand) with Case Study
OVERALL TAKE:
POSITIVE:
1) Interview Started On Time
2) Recruiters are very cordial
NEGATIVE:
1) The whole interview was very uncomfortable - I wont talk much details but TLDR the interviewer is not an inspiring person. Example: When asked what were opportunities to improve culture at Agoda - he did not have an answer which manifests that he is not constantly seeking for opportunities
2) No briefing or pointers. They would assume you already know Agoda like an internal transfer candidate so if you do not have an eCommerce/OTA background, do your homework despite no briefing.
3) No work specific questions. The recruiter specifically told me that the interview is for them to know my profile. The interviewer has standard sets of questions such as how to manage conflict but he already has a right answer in mind and often interrupts
