My overall experience with the interview and onboarding process at Amey was positive. I applied for the position in December 2022 and was invited to complete an online assessment in January 2023. There was a slight delay in receiving the assessment link, requiring me to contact the early careers team for assistance.
I was subsequently invited for an interview on April 5th, 2023, and received a decision the following day. Based on my experience, it seems likely that candidates are informed of the outcome within a day or two.
The interview day began at 8:30 AM with a group situational awareness exercise, followed by a 5-minute individual interview. The interview was relaxed and conversational, focused on technical and university-related questions, though I understand this can vary. The third stage involved a written exercise based on a hypothetical scenario. We were also given the opportunity to interact with current graduates, which provided valuable insights into their roles and experiences.
I ultimately joined Amey in June 2023 and have been grateful for the smooth transition into the company.
