Quite straightforward, simple basic questions asked about previous experience and work history and relevant work experience. Specific examples asked about jobs completed. Any qualifications I had were explored and if relevant this was delved into further
Online assessment and in person interview with the area manager. Range of competency based questions are included as well as opportunity to discuss experience and how you will be a good fit for the role

Interview
Applied & heard back quickly. Was sent link to complete a 3 part online assessment comprising situational judgement, maths & personality tests. This took about an hour to complete & stated that there were no right or wrong answers in the personality section. (Why use it then?) Had a decline email drop into my inbox 36hrs later.
What a total waste of my time. They clearly profile you & I guess I wasn't what they wanted despite having 25+ years of Store Manager experience. I would add that I never even spoke to a single Boots employee, so totally automated system. Where is the human touch Boots????
