S L O W. About five weeks between expression of interest to an interview. I always arrive for interviews well in advance, so I can see the employees going to and fro. This is the HQ building of a FTSE 100, but there was no spring in the stride of anyone I saw. I could see in some of their faces the 15 year low share price and the awful financial results and press articles. The stench of corporate death was in the air. Interview was very rushed, and interviewee (hiring manager) was very nervous. Lazy questions. Wasn't impressed. No feedback after three weeks, so I called in-house recruiters. They didn't realise that no feedback has been given. Was told positive things and told that there would be a second interview the following month. After more than six weeks, I've again heard nothing back. I'm getting plenty of interviews, including second ones, so clearly I don't need this. I emailed to say that I'm pulling out.
