The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Delinea
Interview
I applied for the position, was contacted for an initial phone screen then had a second interview where I had to describe my technical background. After that, I was invited in for a 3rd interview where I met with a panel of awesome folks and then a technical abilities test and met the rest of the team on the floor. It was a very thorough process and an excellent learning experience.
Glad to hear that the interview was a good learning experience. We try to be as transparent as possible and really allow you to kick the tires of working on the team before you start. Glad to have you on board!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Delinea (Washington, DC) in Apr 2013
Interview
First you email in your resume, cover letter, and a code sample found on the company website. Later, a 'Personal Life/Office Culture' phone interview, which is all of the non-technical stuff you would expect in a phone interview. Then a Technical phone interview, asking about code, code experience, accomplishments. If you pass those hurdles, you will be invited to an on-site interview where you will work with our fantastic developers and see if you really sync with the team. After that, an offer will be considered.

Question 1
For me, the most difficult "question" was performing during the in-person programming session. I was inexperienced with the technology, and it is a credit to them that they could see some potential and hire me regardless.
Thanks for providing this information. Our interview process is meant to be difficult because our work environment is challenging. The goal is to make sure the candidate knows what their day to day will be like and that the team is convinced that the candidate will be a great fit. We try our best to be as transparent as possible in this process. There is no point in fooling a candidate as they will only be unhappy later.
The pair programming interview style is tough but is an accurate reflection of day to day which is challenging and rewarding.
So glad you made it through! :)
