Interview
The interview felt very scripted and impersonal, as If just trying to check off boxes, rather than feeling like a conversation, it seemed as though questions were being read directly from a list with little opportunity to build rapport or discuss my experience in a meaningful way.
As a candidate, I was hoping for a more engaging interaction where there was genuine curiosity about my background and how my experience aligned with the role. A more conversational approach would create a much better candidate experience and leave a stronger first impression of the company.
Additionally, no thank you for your time or joining me today. People skills could be stronger.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Sodexo in Jun 2023
Interview
Short interview process with only one stage, very friendly and was made comfortable. The interview lasted longer than expected but, the manager was very professional. I received a job offer on the spot and accepted it. The manager briefly explained the company and the what is expected of me (job role) during and after my probation period.
