Obscenely long and tedious.
Step 1, phone call. This was fine.
Step 2, Design task. This defeats the point of having a portfolio in the first place. But unfortunately, a lot of companies are using these 'tests'. Personality test.
Step 3, Video call with peer, asking questions (only one or 2 about portfolio of work)
Step 4, exact repeat of step 3, with different colleague. Same sort of questions, no interest in portfolio of work. (I felt like I was having to lead the interview with this person).
Step 5, repeat of step 4, slightly more interest in portfolio of work. But same questions.
Given the 'Ground Hog Day' feel to the interview, it gave the impression that there's little to no communication between colleagues within the same team. The lack of interest in my portfolio shows they don't value creativity or your process. Just ticking boxes.
Would not recommend for any creative who takes pride in their work.
