Why is LSE's student satisfaction so low?
Anonymous
There are several reasons for this and I think it varies from individual to individual. One reason is the fact that we are in London which can be a huge bonus due to the work opportunities around us but can also lead to low satisfaction due to costs and dynamic nonstop nature of the city. This is perhaps why we see that other London unis like UCL and Imperial also have low student satisfaction. Another reason is that you are pushed hard at the LSE as the work is very challenging. But this obviously has it benefits too as it can lead to a good career in the future. Lastly the fact that we are the most internationally diverse university in the country means that many international students feel homesick leading to low student satisfaction. In general, I have had an amazing time here myself and think my friends who are mostly from Britain have had too. So I think it really depends on who you are, but if you put in the effort and are approachable then university is definitely what you make of it.
