Description The London School of Economics and Political Science (frequently referred to as London School of Economics, or simply LSE) is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning in the world. The school's more than 7,000 students can choose courses of study such as economics, as well as international relations, accounting, sociology, and information systems. The school is also known as one of the leading centers for research in the social sciences. Founded in 1895 by Beatrice and Sidney Webb, LSE counts more than 13 Nobel prize winners among its alumni and staff. The school is part of the University of London system.
