I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Yelp (London, England) in Aug 2015
Interview
Pretty tough. You need to be honest. Portraying oneself as charitable won’t help, they are too good at cross-examination. Better stick to your true self. The scope is limited as well as they don’t pay as much as other firms in the same sector.
Rigorous process that involved two assignments (one a mini assignment), a panel presentation, and multiple interviews with the team. The hiring manager seemed sharp and the process is quite thorough.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
Applied online on their website and got a response from the recruiter the very next day.
Had the initial discussion with the recruiter. Recruiter asked for my availability and within 30 mins received confirmation for the skype interview with the hiring manager.
Interview with hiring manager went well. Received feedback from recruiter the very next day (without any followup).
Although I did not get the job, I was very happy with the responsiveness of the recruiter.
