Our story…

You may not be too familiar with our name, but we have been around for a while!

We were previously part of Bank of Cyprus Group which had been operating in the UK since 1955. Bank of Cyprus UK was acquired by Cynergy Capital Limited in 2018 and we rebranded as Cynergy Bank.

Cynergy Bank’s strategy is to develop its brand as the UK’s ‘human digital bank’ serving the needs of ‘scale up’ or medium sized and fast-growing SMEs; professionals; high net worth and mass affluent individuals, in essence those market segments that still value the human touch enabled by great technology.

We recognise that our customer’s professional and personal lives often overlap. We therefore seek to serve all their interdependent banking needs, providing a comprehensive range of digitally enabled products and services including property finance, business and commercial banking, invoice discounting, private banking and personal savings.

The Cynergy Bank human and digital model aims to transform banking for customers who still value a face-to-face relationship that is enabled by the latest digital technology.
Digital banks have focused their efforts on app-based delivery while large banks continue to adopt a ‘one size fits all approach’ to their small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) and client relationships. However, at Cynergy Bank we offer a personal relationship experience but with the infrastructure and software of a fully digital bank.
Through our partnership with firms such as Google Cloud and Wipro we continue to innovate in the human digital space, including via our new subsidiary - Cynergy Connect Technologies (CCT) – an Open Banking Hub, that will enable us to partner with best-in-class FinTech providers to offer a suite of next generation products to help our customers to digitise their business.

We have grown over the years to c300 employees in two primary London locations, and with business offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Redhill.

Our success is rooted in our amazing team of committed and hard-working people, and a set of core values that we think differentiate us in the market where our ‘human touch’ extends to both customers and colleagues.

We are a successful and high growth business that is changing, but which is on an exciting journey.

As with any journey there are occasional bumps along the road, but we all just dust ourselves down and never lose sight of the destination.
