      City of London with great offices, great people and lots to do.

      Going through integration from XL and Catlin to XL Catlin so difficult times with people leaving and de motivation

      Cons

      Terrible management team that are incapable of dealing with years of overly aggressive growth and under investment in infrastructure. The employees were treated with utter contempt while trying to correct decisions that were made senior management with the sole objective to inflate short term profitability. Customers and clients (ironically defined as partners) are treated terribly. AXA XL operates with 5 culture commitments that are an oxymoron of the company itself. Overall, not the same XL Catlin company that I joined, I would recommend that you avoid or risk becoming a scape goat for a poorly performing organisation. Very rapid turnover in senior management.

      Smart, capable people • Clear focus on delivery and results • High standards and accountability • Good exposure to responsibility and decision-making

      Cons

      • Work culture has no real off-switch — work and work talk continue even on holidays (including Christmas Eve) • Poor respect for personal time and emotional boundaries • Expectation of constant availability creates burnout • Human considerations often take a back seat to output
