Pros

You can have a large amount of autonomy dependent on role.

Cons

Very few, if any, quality managers. Most try to project some sort of old-school, discipline oriented mentality. Constant direction changes focuses. Management is more interested in trying to get rid of people via automation and LLMs than bread-and-butter manufacturing processes. Very few leaders seem to have any real plant floor experiences. Responsibility and accountability are pushed downward, so firings & layoffs occur frequently at the middle and lower layers, but upper management is somehow immune.
