Great team and culture, but systems hinder success

Pros

Great team, good culture, good FAMs if you’re lucky enough to get them, pay is decent at times

Cons

Recent changes, especially to new systems have made it near impossible to provide good service to clients, reach targets and remain positive in a changing landscape. The rollout was too ambitious, and what we have been left with is systems and processes that benefit no one and only slow us down. Efficiency is paramount to sales, bogging us down in unnecessary admin is at odds with ever increasing targets and management don’t seem to care with pushing toxic positivity culture and mentality on us. Many team members have simply signed off sick, many are quitting or looking for other employment.

Great frontline teamwork overshadowed by executive favoritism

Pros

The day-to-day teams are absolutely superb. The boots-on-the-ground staff are hardworking, driven, and constantly willing to go the extra mile to deliver results.

Cons

The culture here is broken, driven by favoritism and a clear 'if your face fits' mentality. A select group of insiders gets a free pass on poor performance just because they hang out with the right crowd, while middle and senior managers actively undermine and bully the rest of the staff. Management talks a big game about being an equal opportunity employer, but it’s pure marketing: the internal reality is the exact opposite. On a positive note, the C-suite has seen some recent shakeups, and it's encouraging that some of the worst leaders have finally been sidelined. However, internal support systems lack confidentiality and actively destroys employee morale instead of protecting co-workers.
