Pros

Nothing was positive in my experience.

Cons

Azets initially looked to be a great environment when I first joined, where I hoped to expand my knowledge, settle into a welcoming environment, surround myself with like-minded people and develop myself, with the hopes of climbing the business ladder at some point. Within the first week or so, I shortly realised Azets was not the place for me. Whether this was due to the poor management team, whom all had a sort of 'vendetta' against any younger and less experienced members of staff, or whether this be due to the lack of growth opportunities around, much to my dismay especially with the Azets 'values' I had been sold. Azets was the worse place I could have ever begun my career in the accounting industry, due to the lack of assistance in gaining knowledge, working on my training, and passing my exams. The only benefit Azets had, was that you were allowed one day study before your exam day to prepare. This however was worthless, when you are given one hour per quarter to complete your 'OneFile' that is required to continue your apprenticeship, ultimately meaning it is near enough impossible to continue your apprenticeship, due to the amount of stress put onto the young people and lack of understanding, compassion or interest from senior management. If thinking about joining the team at an 'associate' level or 'assistant' level, I wouldn't bother as you will be overlooked, managers will constantly be chatting behind your back about you. Personally, what topped it off for me, was when I nearly lost my life in a tragic emergency situation, meaning I was required to be off of work for a few weeks, only to return and hear the whole office saying that I had supposedly 'made it up for attention', being left feeling completely uncomfortable and disgusted by the so called team-spirit that is advertised. When mentioning this to managers, it was made out as though serious consequences would be given to those who initially had been involved with my situation, all to find out that I was expected o work alongside the individual for the next week. Overall, the worst place I have ever worked, even worse than my first job in a hotel reception. Do not get drawn into the pure lies this company tells.

Pros

Generous annual leave, sick days and student package

Cons

Management don’t like taking responsibility, important tasks get passed around leading to decisions taking forever to be made and means a lot of time is spent chasing people without actually getting anywhere.

Thank you for leaving your review, it is much appreciated. I am pleased to read that you appreciated your annual leave allowance, sick pay and study package whilst working at Azets. For the other issues that you raise, without awareness of the details, I find it hard to comment and would welcome to talk to you in person. I recognise our Management as responsible people, who take responsibility and accountability for their decisions.
