Pros

wide international network with plenty of opportunity to do international work. Flagship impressive headquarters in Baker Street

Cons

It is very difficult to progress on merit - the staff are good below partner level but the partners are largely unimpressive, there seems to be a lot of cronyism and many are bewildered at the partners that progress up the management tree. Bullies are not dealt with adequately - and often hold positions of power. It is not a great place to work as a senior woman - difficult to be heard and little support. PKF merger seems like displacement activity to hide the generally poor performance of the firm.

Pros

Free Barista coffees and a very nice subsidised canteen. Good location in Central London.

Cons

There is No IT senior management strategy, constant knee jerk reaction from one direction to the other, depending on the day/week. Management seem clueless in my opinion to run an IT department, it’s a revolving door of staff. Mostly made up of contractors, the permanent staff don't stay very long (unless you are in the boy’s club) with the constant back stabbing and the intrenched politics. The meeting rooms have absolutely no privacy, paper thin partitions, everyone is listening in on everyone's private conversations and reporting back to management, this seems to be encouraged. It’s like working in a Police state! You're frightened to say word to anyone.

Pros

The food in the cafeteria

Cons

The negatives are a lot as the company loses good and skilled employees only to remain with archiac partnership and directors who do not want to change or move with the times. - A lot of politics and backbiting, the organisation thrives on destructive gossiping and the clique system. If you find yourself not fitting into one then your stay will not be bearable - For the short time I was there the turnover of managers was around 80%, no wonder they are always looking for people. The organisation is a smudge on your CV that is why I left I did not even include it on my experience profile as I learnt nothing, I actually regressed. so to those who want to join do so at your own risk - Management overpromises onpersonall developmen and equatable performance scheme, where in actual fact it is non-existent you only target a salary rise by a negligible percentage. You ask yourself what is the point of wasting time on useless appraisal systems for the sake of administration work. Directors and Partners are very deceptive and work on divide and rule strategy based on favouritism and nepotism, very unprofessional work place
