      Pros

      An exciting position within the industry. Some great knowledgeable colleagues providing some fascinating insight. Strong backing from DS and some long-standing valuable customer relationships.

      Cons

      Real lack of strong management across multiple functions and with it the required accountability to get things done. There is a vast ammount of book passing and 'that's not my role, ask somebody else' that it seems the end result is that the customer isn't being heard. A considerable number of people have left this year and many roles still haven't been recruited for which leaves a rather desolate environment with the water cooler topics tending to guess who's leaving next....

      The Dassault Systemes BIOVIA brand offers many Pros to employees - working in an exciting space (LifeSciences/Scientific discovery industries) with truly transformational offerings unrivalled in the market today. With the backing of DS there is a large enough war chest to achieve the company’s objectives supporting employees to do their jobs and be successful in the process.

      Cons

      BIOVIA is made up of many acquisitions and having been acquired by Dassault Systemes itself there are the usual growing pains to work through. The market isn’t fully ready yet to realise the full potential of BIOVIA as it is so disruptive to traditional ways of working.

      Small enough company to be able to make a big impact with straightforward internal business process improvements Some great customers - household names Lots of low hanging fruit in terms of customer business benefits realisation = sales pipeline

      Cons

      Confusing and over-complicated hierarchy with French parent company Dassault Systemes. Indecision about product direction. Lots of inward-focused politics taking energy away from making real progress. No a place to learn your craft - you need to turn up as a fully developed professional
