I really enjoy working at Burcot Lodge, it is very rewarding working with people who have dermentia, making their time living in a care home a happy place to live. The staff members are such lovely people to work with nothing is too much trouble when you ask for help when assisting a resident, they all want the best for all residents. The management are all on hand for help and advice when it is needed, they are very approachable and happy to help. Burcot is the first care home I have worked in and I feel very much part of a team, and was welcomed by all the staff members there. In my time working at Berkley Care Group I have had no problems and enjoy working within this company who really care about all residents and staff.
Cons
Working in care can be mentally tiring at times, but we are all encouraged to take time out if we need to step out even just for 5 minutes when needed.

Leycester House is a warm, supportive environment, and I take great pride in contributing to the compassionate, resident-focused culture that the home is known for. Throughout my time here, I have consistently built trusting relationships with residents, supported families with empathy and understanding, and worked closely with colleagues to ensure dignity, comfort, and safety at all times. Berkley Care Group is a very good employer within the care sector, especially for people who value meaningful work, training, and a supportive culture. Being named a Top Employer, plus their commitment to staff wellbeing, Berkley Care Group invest in their workforce in a more structured way than some care companies.
Working in a care home can be incredibly rewarding on many levels. As the administrator, even though I am not providing hands-on care, my work helps ensure residents receive the services, support, and comfort they need.
Cons
I can't think of any cons. If I were advising someone considering a role at Berkley Care Group, I’d say: it’s particularly strong for people who care about quality of care, personal connection with residents, and long-term development — though you should also be aware of the demands of care work (hours, emotional labour). It is fantastic to be part of a supportive, inclusive culture where your well-being is taken seriously.
