Pros
Working with amazing children and my team. I managed my nursery because I loved childcare and being able to make a difference. I believe at top senior level they are still passionate about the children, but as it filters down, it changes.
Cons
Senior Managers are rarely seen unless there is a problem. There is fear among nursery management and teams. Over the last few years the business has become more focused on £££ than the need for a quality quality childcare solution (which it was founded upon) At times it felt hostile and false. I have recently seen past colleagues in tears and distraught when things go wrong because of a real lack of time invested to listen & support them - just a stick to hit them with. Its such a shame its still continuing.
