Pros

- Facilities are nice and modern; - Casual dress code; - Good technologies to work with.

Cons

- No leadership skills within the company; - Lack of professionalism: senior members and middle management spend their days with their headphones on, watching youtube videos, reading dailymail and moaning at others members. Added to that the daily two hours spent in the pub during lunch time, drinking 2-3 pints before heading back to work. Not to mention managers do not respond to emails (some have over 10,000 unread emails!!) - Middle management do not listen to their employees and continue to overload them with work; - No room for personal development and training. They dont have any online training (like lynda or udemy); - A lot of politics internally for the budget allocation which creates conflicts between teams; - No regular one-to-one with managers; - There is a bullying culture. HR / management are obsessed at getting rid of people and there were recent redundancy plans in the IT department.

Pros

- great office environment - small company, you get to know most people soon. - you are helping Good Causes - canteen food is great - good package

Cons

- Management has tried to do too much change too fast and people were not ready. - The whole A Player' concept has been damaging to the behaviors and morale, drop it already. - Limited shelf life since the License is up for renewal in 5 years and chances of getting a 4th one are slim.

Pros

Use to be a great rallying, supportive and fun place to work. Head office has had some great investment to look like a modern workplace.

Cons

High pressure and bullying culture, proven when it was shared with me today that sites like glassdoor are under review by management and further still that pressure is put upon management to confront staff about poor reviews. This adds to the suspicion highlighted elsewhere that there are false positive reviews being written. One obvious fallacy is that 'the location is great', it couldn't be worse..... google map it! I apologise for not stating my position, as noted above, it is being monitored.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I’m really sorry to read some of your feedback, especially given that you have been working with us for over eight years. I’d like to try and address some of your concerns as best I can. Firstly, let me assure you that all Glassdoor reviews are anonymous and we have no way of knowing who has or hasn’t left a review. This means that we can’t and don’t have any influence over reviews and as such we would never expect our management teams to approach or confront individuals regarding this. We do read all reviews and we take all feedback on board, both good and bad. We want Camelot to continue to be a great place to work so your views matter to us. As individual reviews are anonymous it’s not possible for me to comment on your specific situation but I hope that you're aware of how to raise any concerns via your manager or the HR team. Regarding our Watford location, I think that’s a very personal preference. It really works for a lot of our employees who live locally but I understand it’s not for everyone. I personally commute from London every day and don’t find it too bad and our location is one thing I can’t change! I hope my response offers some reassurance and I thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback.
