Even the "free" lunch is a trap, it's a taxable benefit that actually rinses your pay check, designed solely to tether you to the building so you work through your breaks. The CEO once say "If you don't like it here, leave" at an all hands meeting. They track your attendance too. There's a lack of psychological safety all around. Bullying is common, and people are so toxic. Serious misconduct goes entirely unchecked. When highly credible allegations of sexual harassment involving CHRO are swept under the rug, it tells you everything you need to know about the company's moral compass. Add in the tax-dodging billionaire CEO, and you have a culture operating entirely without ethics. Meetings aren't for collaboration; they are public forums for senior staff to bully, talk over, and belittle colleagues. You aren’t led here, you are managed by people who view empathy as a weakness.
