Pros

Highly supportive workplace where career progression is very much encouraged. A great team to work alongside and the product is lovely!

Cons

It can be a fast paced, full on environment, especially around Christmas. Organisation and communication is key.

Pros

Chisholm Hunter is one of those businesses that has genuine heritage and isn't shy about it. Operating across 28 stores UK-wide in the luxury watch and jewellery sector, the company has a clear identity, a stable foundation, and real ambition to grow responsibly rather than just quickly. The work is consistently interesting and genuinely varied — no two weeks look the same. Across property, operations, retail, and brand partnerships with some of the world's leading watch houses, there's a breadth to what the business does that keeps things engaging. You're expected to be across multiple disciplines and deliver to a high standard, which suits people who don't want to be pigeonholed. The people are the real highlight. There's a culture of getting things done without unnecessary politics, and colleagues across the business are generally approachable, capable, and invested in doing a good job. The management team are commercially sharp and direct — you know where you stand, which is something genuinely hard to find. In terms of stability, the track record speaks for itself. This isn't a start-up chasing short-term targets; it's a long-established business with a loyal customer base and a considered approach to growth. If you want somewhere to build a career rather than just fill a role, Chisholm Hunter delivers that.

Cons

The pace is high and expectations are clear. For the right person, that's not a con at all — it's exactly what makes the role rewarding.

Pros

Working with great colleagues . Sunday Times Award as one of best places to work. Opportunities as growing company & career ambitions are taken seriously by Directors , support given of you want to climb ladder. Great sales staff and products.

Cons

Office can be quiet due to keeping busy , as plenty work to do. But looking at other Scottish companies going bust I’m happy to be secure in role knowing the business care about our jobs. Long hours at Xmas due to busy with stock or store needs.
