Pros

I personally enjoyed my 2 years at Circdata, working within a great team of people as well as a lot of lessons learnt. I have been able to take away a lot of transferable skills from Circdata. Salary reviews do happen if they are deserved i.e. if you put a bit extra work in. (to a good standard) In the AM and operations teams you have the option of working abroad such as Europe, US & Asia as well as across the UK. (It may sound glamorous but there isn’t much time spent sightseeing!) There is good teamwork within the account management team and within the company as a whole ensuring the events go smoothly as possible. This is something that makes the job easier and more enjoyable.

Cons

- a lot of working hours which will mean sometimes working at weekends and into your evening but that’s expected working in events. If you don’t want to put the hours in, this isn’t the role for you. - the workload can get intense during peak season, for example running a live event whilst ensuring the products and event preparation are delivered on time for the following week.

Pros

My pay check always came in on time and correct Some of my colleagues tried their best to make the environment an enjoyable place to be and I will massively thank them for this. However I know they have now moved on.

Cons

Total shambles to sum it up Account managers are a complete disorganized mess, agree to anything with the client. Even if its updating their 16 forms endlessly. Oh did I mention they they will also agree to getting 16 forms changed with a time scale of a few hours (for free), without even checking the amount of work required? So in my time there I endlessly raised this to management who didn't seem to care at all that 95% of my working day was updating the same forms over and over and over, with no new work getting done. (hugely demotivating) Well this was until I got pulled into a meeting about a final written warning about productivity. Which after endlessly proving that I was just tirelessly updating the same thing over and over at the whim of the account managers. I had to play the disability card. To then find out, somehow they had no record of my disability. Which may I add was brought up in every 1-1 I had (this was only 1 in 2 years), in my interview, was openly discussed in the office, and on my medical record (which they could not find). I might add that after this was raised, funnily enough the whole case was dropped and forgotten about. My manager although was friendly sometimes, chose to speak down to me and one of my colleagues, most of the time . Expecting us to know how to use systems (which were not obvious, some had two buttons for okay and one of those just refreshed the page). He would get angry when we didn't know how to use them despite not ever showing us how to use them. In my time the structure of the business changed. The CEO I started with had an awful tempter and at one point even called me a C word for something I had no idea about. The later MD (which I believe is still MD to this day), I found to be also rude but for different reasons. Whenever something was raised to his attention, he would dismiss it. He would often walk through the office yelling obesities thinking himself to be funny. Was also a complete show off. Despite massively underpaying his staff (two members of the polish office left for double their wage, I also only got a pay rise after raising that I could get more money working the front desk at euro car parts next door) he thought it fitting to purchase a brand new Audi r8 and park it outside. If your reading this, its just a massive f you to your under paid/valued staff, which without your company would fall to pieces. I saw mentioned in other reviews that there were regular pay reviews? I had one pay review in my time there and that was only after raising that I would earn more as a sales assistant at euro car parts, and that I earnt ALOT less than the UK average for my job title. From a future web developers perspective, be prepared to know how to use jQuery and that's about it. You will be editing premade forms using a massively complex system (which endlessly breaks). With zero career opportunities or fair pay. To start with I used to stay late to try and get the work done. However as I started to come to the realization that my extra work would go unnoticed and I wasn't being valued anyways. This soon stopped. For anyone looking for a job here, honestly just keep looking.
