Pros

It pays the bills each month

Cons

Benefits are nonexistent Salary is average, yet workload and responsibility are high Bonus scheme can be changed when and how they want, even mid/end of year Poor capacity/resource management Training non existent IT Infrastructure issues rife No proper career path and certainly no help to develop one, there is just the expectation that you will take on more responsibility and workload and be happy to do so eCOA conveyor belt mentality, churn each study out as fast as possible, no proper quality standards, no lessons learnt etc Old technology and codebase, no opportunity to work with latest or anything that might actually be useful outside Clario If your face fits and you say what is what they want to hear rather than actually make improvements or changes then you'll go far. However if you're actually good at your employed role, you'll just stick there as there's not enough people and they cannot afford to let those move on!

Not What it Once Was

Pros

Good local team, immediate managers are flexible, pay is ok, good PTO, colleagues are helpful

Cons

Constant layoffs, very little sense of job security. VPs wax lyrical about all the new business we are winning, whilst getting rid of talented people in parallel. The same roles are re-hired in cheaper locations as a shameless cost cutting measure. Systems rolled out with no training, huge HR decisions and benefits are reversed without announcement, very little investment in the product to bring it in line with other vendors. Slow and cantankerous systems that make it harder for sites, patients and internal users. No innovation, no career progression, no hope. Morale is through the floor and senior management do not care.

Getting worse by the day

Pros

The people that are left are a really good buch.

Cons

Poor Leadership from the top down Abysmal resource strategy has left the delivery teams under unsustainable pressure Morale is at an all time low Director level are completely detached from the realities of the "Shop Floor" Expect to work well over your contracted hours for free as there are too many projects and not enough people. Working from home is mandatory and there is no allowance to help pay towards the running costs.
