Pros

The people at Colliers are generally friendly and enjoyable to work with. The company also puts on a number of social events throughout the year, such as the summer party, which are well organised and provide a great opportunity to connect with colleagues outside of the workplace.

Cons

There is a clear lack of leadership and support from many of the senior management team. A number of team heads appear disengaged, with a strong preference for working remotely and limited involvement in the day-to-day running and development of their teams. The company has also lost much of the culture that once made it an enjoyable place to work. What was previously a strong and collaborative environment has gradually been eroded over the years, creating the impression of a wider decline in morale and engagement. There is an excessive focus on the “One London” initiative, often at the expense of the wider business and regional offices. This has contributed to a feeling that parts of the company are overlooked and undervalued. More broadly, there is a sense of complacency across the organisation. Ambition and drive appear to be lacking, with many employees seemingly content to collect a salary rather than pursue growth, development, or higher performance. This creates an environment where mediocrity is tolerated rather than challenged.
